2. Our data processing purposes
When you request information from us or register for a course, we will use your data in order to answer your questions, process your registration, manage your course and store your examination records. In addition, we would like to maintain our customer relationship with you and send you our own information and offers as well as those of third parties.
In order to make our website user-friendly and tailor it to suit your requirements, we place cookies as well as record access to our website and file downloads. Among the recorded information is the name of the downloaded file, date and time of the download, the data volume transmitted, messages confirming successful downloads, the web browser and the requesting domain. In addition, part of the IP address of the requesting computer is recorded. The user profiles are processed pseudonymized or anonymized. We also offer interfaces for use in social networks. We and our service providers process your data for the above purposes pursuant to the provisions of Sections 6 (1) (a), (b), (c) and (f) of the European General Data Protection Regulation.

When you use our website, request information or register for a course, we do not sell your postal or e-mail address to third parties for advertising purposes.

5. The duration of the retention period for your data depends on simple criteria
We store your data as long as they are necessary for the individual processing purpose. If your data are stored for retention purposes only, we restrict access to them accordingly. For advertising purposes, we keep your data as long as we can reasonably believe that you might still be interested in our courses.

When you register for a course, we need your data in order to process your registration, manage your course and store your examination records. Therefore, the registration form must be completed in full and correctly and filed together with the required documentation. Without these data, we cannot accept your participation in our course.
The help function in the menu bar of all standard internet browsers explains to you how you can keep your browser from accepting new cookies, how you can make your browser notify you in case you receive a new cookie or how you can delete all already existing cookies and how to block new ones. In the Internet Explorer, you will find the relevant setting in the menu “Extras” under “Internet Options” on the tab “Privacy”. 8. Which tools do we use?
This website uses various tools to create interconnections with social networks and improve communication with the users by tracking, retargeting and analytics. In the following, we have set down information regarding the functionality of these tools.
Our website uses the „+1“ function button provided by the social network Google+, which is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. When our website is visited, certain data are transmitted to Google, among others the IP address and any cookies that may have been stored by Google. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of the website (including your IP address) is sent to a server operated by Google in the US and stored there. If you are registered as a Google user, your data will be linked with your Google data. Else, they are usually deleted after a period of two weeks. Since the data are directly transmitted to Google, we cannot influence the collection and further processing of the data. Tracking- and Retargeting
We use tools provided by our marketing partners (currently Refined Labs GmbH, Google Inc. and Criteo SA) to be able to communicate targeted and interest-based advertising to you (by placing advertisements on internet websites). In addition, such tools help us to better coordinate our online marketing measures. The tracking as well as the displaying of advertising materials in connection with the retargeting works on the basis of the cookie-based analysis of user behavior. The cookies used in this respect are anonymous, random codes which do not enable us at any time to draw conclusions concerning your personal data, like your name or your address. Normally, the complete IP addresses of the website visitors are used by Google Analytics to compile general geographical reports. On this website, however, Google Analytics has been extended with the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” in order to guarantee an anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). Within the Member States of the European Union or other States party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, Google abbreviates your IP address by the last 8 bits prior to using and storing it.
The IP address disclosed by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. You may prevent the storage of cookies by using the relevant setting in your browser software (see number 7).
